Five Easy Step Guide

The Kinetec Breva™ is a state-of-the-art machine designed to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of the ankle. It provides controlled motion in two dimensions, primarily focusing on plantar/dorsal flexion, with a range from -40° to 30°. Here’s how you can easily use this machine:

Getting Started

Step 1: Understanding the Remote
The remote control has four main buttons: Left (Extension), Right (Flexion), Up (+), and Down (-). These buttons help in adjusting the motion and degree of flexion.

Step 2: Setting Plantar Flexion (Downward Flexion)
To adjust the plantar flexion (downward movement of the foot), press the Left Limit Button. The PL/Flex indicator will start blinking on the screen. Use the Plus/Minus button to adjust the degree, up to a maxmimum of -40 degrees.

Step 3: Setting Dorsal Flexion (Upward Flexion)
For adjusting dorsal flexion (upward movement of the foot), press the Right Limit Button. The Dor/Flex indicator will then blink. Use the Plus/Minus button to set the desired degree, up to a maximum of 30 degrees.

Step 4: Starting the Exercise
Once you have set the desired flexion degrees, press the Start button to begin the exercise routine.

Step 5: Progressing with the Exercise
Based on your doctor's recommendations, you should aim to increase the flexion degree by about 5 degrees every 2-3 days to gradually enhance your range of motion and flexibility.
